24-year-old Breauna Shai Terry, of Pittsburgh, was in connection with this incident, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety officials as of Wednesday, Nov. 9 around 11:30 a.m.
The shooting happened in the 100 block of Goettmann Street in Pittsburgh’s Troy Hill neighborhood just after midnight, according to a release by City police.
Upon arrival, officers from Zone 1 found a woman with gunshot wounds to both of her legs.
The woman was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Terry has been charged with two felonies for Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, and three misdemeanor counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person, court records show.
She is being held in the Allegheny County Jail after being denied bail due to state law on the charges, as detailed in court documents.
Her preliminary hearing has been scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Kim Berkeley Clark on Nov. 15 at 1:30 p.m., according to her latest court docket shows.
Terry has previously pleaded guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and numerous traffic violations, court records show.
The Violent Crime Unit continues to investigate this case.
